Today Warby Parker launches their newest endeavor, the Beacon Collection! The collection is effortlessly cool with a nod to the young, free spirits who make the best of any situation. It’s inspired by impromptu, can’t-duplicate-them-all-nighters, when having no plans brings endless possibilities.
There’s nothing better than a fresh batch of creamy guacamole, but it can be really difficult (and time consuming) to find the perfect recipe that makes your tastebuds sing. Well look no further. Jesse and I have been tediously working on finding the perfect guacamole recipe since avocados are in their perfect season right now. This recipe is so simple and you can throw it all together…
As I’ve stated in the past, I’m crazy about all things French. From French Fashion to French Decor, those Frenchies just get it right. I’ve been trying to bring a little essence of France to each area of my home and my latest adventure has been to create a shabby chic inspired dresser for our bedroom. I bought a really sad dresser+mirror set at a thrift store for $40 that looked like it was…
Today Ruby turns 5! I can’t believe we’ve had her that long. She has brought us so much joy including our little piglet Rosie. They are both basically my daughter and I find myself telling people stories about them after they tell me one about their kids, to be me it’s all the same to me!
I still can’t believe she’s already 5! It seems like just yesterday we brought this little wrinkly face home.
This is one of my easiest DIY tutorials yet it’s one of the pieces in my house that everyone always stops to admire and make comments on. The whole project should only take about 10 minutes to complete and will cost around $40 for both shelves and 10 pictures.
Now I’m not sure you can really even call this a “recipe post” considering it’s basically a 2 step process but they’re so delicious and easy to make that I couldn’t not share. These are the perfect dessert to make when you are short on time and especially if you’re grilling your main meal already. These grilled peaches are so sweet and taste like summer should: sweet, sticky, and light.
As you probably have heard, Anthropologie is running their big semi annual sale and is currently doing an additional 20% off all their sale items. Hooray! I have been on periodically checking what items I need to stop in and get so I put together a few of my favorite sale items along with their sale prices so you can skip the hunt and go straight for the kill (you’re welcome!)
Last week I blogged about how big the Pineapple Trend is and how popular pineapple prints are in women’s fashion and accessories. After I wrote the post I just kept seeing more and more pineapple stuff popping up, especially in home decor items. In fact, while I was out shopping I found the perfect ceramic pineapple at TJ Maxx for $15.00 then on my way home I saw a big sale sign for Tuesday…
Happy 4th of July from Rosie’s brother, Baxter. This is Ruby (and my parent’s) son. Isn’t he a hoot!? You can see his personality shining through the pic, he’s a total ham!!
I hope you have a safe and fun 4th of July and are using the time off to relax and enjoy time with friends and family. That’s exactly what I’ve done today and it feels great!
Have you noticed a serious pineapple trend lately? It seems like everywhere you go there is some kind of pineapple print or motif on something. Pineapples have always been kind of a quirky fruit as is so I actually enjoy seeing them everywhere since they are so fun and different! I’ve also noticed the pineapple motif gives a bit of a retro or vintage theme to whatever it’s featured on. Here are a…
Happy Friday friends! This concludes my first week at my new job as an official “interior designer.” So far it’s just been basic training with the company but next week starts my real training in the design gallery. Hooray!
Hope you have a great weekend, here are a few of my favorites from this week:
I’ve been dreaming of a little trip to Paris and this pic verifies that I…
Awhile back I was at one of my favorite thrift stores and found a gem of a piece. An old beat up side table that needed some serious TLC. I didn’t want to become committed yet, seeing as it was the first piece I saw but when I saw the price tag of $10 I said sold! Better yet? They were having 20% off so I got the baby for $8.00! Even better.
Now the pictures are doing some serious glamorizing on…
